My Research Agenda.
My research agenda focuses on prevention and management of secondary traumatic stress and burnout by promoting sustainable performance and well-being in workplace and higher education contexts. I am interested in advancing health equity by exploring the influence of culture, identity, and lived experience on well-being.

Mindfulness interventions
Mindfulness interventions.
In Spring 2021, my lab developed a seven-week intervention to address stress and anxiety among CSUF students as they navigate the pandemic. The intervention has been used in undergraduate classrooms and a nationwide pilot. We are currently in the data analysis phase.
These studies provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to gain research experience. I have supervised student research projects through the Minority Health Research Training Program, CSUF Summer Research Experience, and the CSUF Summer Undergraduate Research Experience Program.
